SPRING 2013: Folk Music Classes Offered Through UW Continuing Studies

Each semester UW Continuing Studies offers many non-credit classes, taught by some very fine instructors such as Chris Powers, Jon Peik, Brian O’Donnell, Katie Waldren, and Sims Delaney-Pothoff. This fall semester we are offering Bluegrass banjo, ukulele, guitar (beginning, basic blues, & country flatpick), Southeastern U.S. fiddle styles, mountain dulcimer, and Irish fiddle – and a special 4-week course, A Century of Country Music with Bill Malone and Henry Sapoznik. Classes are reasonably priced and meet once weekly for 5 to 10 weeks. Register now – some classes start next week! See the full schedule online at http://www.catalog.dcs.wisc.edu/ (click on "music" under the subject dropdown). You may register online from the website or call 608–262–2451.
